MOCO 45% Qiviut / 45% Merino / 10% Silk
MOCO Qiviut by Caryll Designs offers this fine 45% Canadian Qiviut, 45% Australian Merino and 10% Cutivated Silk blend yarn in Cobweb Lace, Fingering and Sport weights. This blended yarn is immediately soft with extra strength and a subtle sheen that only merino and silk can provide.

The Cobweb Lace weight 2ply, 2/28nm, 45/45/10 Qiviut/Merino/Silk blend is offered in Natural color only. Each skein is 1 ounce (28 grams) and 425 yards (388 meters). I recommend using needles size US 0-2 (2-2.25 mm) for lace work. This is a remarkable cobweb weight yarn, the best of all fiber blends for your finest heirloom lace work!

This "Fingering" weight 2ply, 2/14nm, 45/45/10 Qiviut/Merino/Silk blend is available in Natural in addition to 6 commercially dyed solid colors and 4 multi-colors hand-painted by Mountain Colors, Inc in Montana. Each skein weighs one ounce (28 grams) and is 220 yards (201 meters) in length. The colors in this blend are inherently lighter tones due to the predominance of white fibers. This "Fingering" weight yarn is actually a standard lace weight yarn that, due to qiviut's natural "blooming" properties, can be worked on slightly larger needles much like any fingering weight yarn. I recommend using needles size US 2-4 (2.75-3.50mm) for textured stitch patterns and needles size US 4-6 (3.5-4.00mm) for lace patterns. For crochet use hooks size B-C for textured patterns and size C-E for lace patterns.

The Sport weight, 3ply, 3/14nm, 45/45/10 Qiviut/Merino/Silk blend is offered in Natural color only. Each skein is 1 ounce (28 grams) and 146 yards (133 meters). This "Sport" weight yarn is actually a standard fingering weight with similar blooming properties. I recommend using needles size US 4-6 (3.5-4mm) for textured stitch patterns and needles size US 6-8 (4-11mm) for lace patterns. For crochet use hooks size E-G for textured patterns and size G-L for lace patterns.
